Cantus Maja
From a selection of Verdicchio grapes ripened in our vineyards located between 190 and 230 meters above sea level, facing south, southwest, on the hills of Morro d’Alba, in the district of the Castelli di Jesi.
Clayey soil with a presence of sand. Hand-harvested. Gentle pressing of the grapes, vinified in stainless steel at controlled temperature with long aging on the noble lees. To be enjoyed chilled (12°-14°). May, from the Latin Majus, the name by which the Romans called the month dedicated to Maja, responsible for the miracle of vegetative rebirth.
The arrival of spring was celebrated everywhere with festivities such as the Cantamaggio, which, after more than 3 millennia, is celebrated with deep popular participation in Morro d’Alba, becoming a small capital of this event. This Verdicchio is dedicated to tradition, aiming to recall the distant roots of the celebration and the feelings of joy and excitement for the spectacle offered by the rebirth of life that renews itself in the countryside every spring.
