Flusia
From a selection of red grapes ripened on our vineyards located between 190 and 230 meters above sea level, partially facing northeast and partially facing south, on the hills of Morro d’Alba, in the district of the Castelli di Jesi.
The soil is rather clayey with a presence of sand. Hand-harvested. Very soft and gentle pressing of the grapes, vinified in stainless steel at controlled temperature. To be enjoyed chilled (12°-14°).
Flora is the Roman deity of plant blossoming, especially those that bear fruit. It is very ancient: the Umbrian-Safini peoples (including the Piceni) dedicated a month to her (which corresponds to the Roman April); she was known among the Samnites as well as among the Oscans by the name Flusia. Initially, she was the deity responsible for the blossoming of crops, wheat, and fruit trees, and her function was to make wheat, vegetables, and trees bloom to ensure a rich harvest in autumn.
