Visciola

Flavored beverage made from wine and sour cherries.

Sour cherries, also known as ‘visciole,’ are the ‘poorer relatives’ of regular cherries, distinguished by their more tart flavor and significantly smaller tree size.

Sour cherries have intense red flesh and juice, with a fairly sweet taste. They ripen in June and are left to macerate with sugar before being combined with the wine.
